last night i met a guy. then i ran away from him.

I was out with my two BFFs (best friends forevs) last night and what started as a mellow evening at Izikaya 10 inevitably evolved into a late night drinking session that ended at a gay bar in Chelsea.

So I'm drinking red wine like the classy lizzady that I am and notice this gentleman waving at me. By this point I've had like 10 potables so it was hard to discern if he was waving at me or just fanning himself. Anyway, I didn't think anything of it because I was at a bar in Chelsea and under the assumption that everyone in this area is not heterosexual. (I mean, I don't like to overgeneralize, but I also don't like to undergeneralize. Have you been to Chelsea???)

But later the guy came over and bought me and my friends drinks. Points for him! If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends. And their livers.

At the end of the night he helped me get into a cab and when he asked for my number, what did I say...?

No, seriously, what did I say? I can't really remember because I had like 10 potables.

Apparently, I didn't give it to him.

The universe finally throws me a bone(r) and I dismiss it. Fortunately, I have friends who don't care for livers so they were still drinking at the bar and the guy gave his number to them.

Now I have to decide if I want to call him. I know, I know. I should get out there and give this dating thing a chance. But that would involve, like, leaving the apartment.

champagne and chocolate

French breakfast of champions.

ready for my korean husband y'all

I cooked a Korean meal for my friends last night. The piece de resistance was my bulgogi, which literally means "fire meat" in Korean because you're supposed to cook it over a flame. I marinated it in pear, soy sauce, ginger, onion, sesame oil and garlic. Hollerz!

Yes, I was in Paris and Greece where the only stress I had to deal with was deciding between white or red wine.
