I'm not one of those people who likes to go out and try new things. My idea of trying something new is eating meatloaf with my hands.
This disdain for novelty also applies to my apartment and my computer. I've had the same PC and Manhattan apartment for six years.
Apparently this is an affront to people who like "progress" and "innovation". These same people urged me to buy a MAC and move to Brooklyn with the kind of fervor not seen since The Crusades. Apparently PC owning Manhattanites are the real heretics of our generation. And not, you know, women who say Sex IN the city.
I won't move to Brooklyn any time soon. The high concentration of 30 year old white people who probably say things like "I have wheat intolerance" scares me. Also, I'm too lazy to look at apartments.
But I did buy a Macbook.
So did I see what all the hullaballoo was all about? Well, it is very sleek. And did you know that you can have INSTANT internet access? But aside from that, it didn't really change my life. I can't really see the hulla or the balloo.
Moral of the story: Don't try new things because we'll all be dead soon.
