When I told my friend Tony that I was making a dinner of just bruschetta for me and P, he was alarmed. "You're feeding your man bread and tomatoes???"
Well, when you put it that way!
With the heat these days, I want to limit my time near an oven or stove. And the tomatoes at our green grocer looked so red and jewel like that I wanted to adorn them on some crusty bread. Oh and I learned the key to good crusty bread is to TOAST it on the stove top with some melted butter. This way when you bite into the bruschetta it will be crispy on the outside and a little soft on the inside and you won't cut your mouth or lose any teeth gnawing your way through it (I eat like a wolf).
And this meal is filling enough for a man so don't worry!
We drank: Protocolo white wine
We watched: Frasier, season two, the episode when Frasier goes to Bora Bora with his new girlfriend and runs into his ex-wife Lilith!!
