Producing
I’ve produced and promoted over 100 comedy and storytelling events in NYC, Washington DC, and online. These events showcase the work of emerging and established writers and performers, and bring in new audiences to the venues. Using a targeted and grassroots marketing strategy, our events consistently sell out and often months in advance.
My producing and event marketing experience:
Developing events from concept to completion
Scouting, booking, and managing talent (writers, authors, comedians) and crew (photographer, illustrator, musicians, etc)
Developing and executing digital marketing and audience engagement strategies
Liaising with venues and their respective teams to ensure marketing and branding is in alignment
Hosting duties and managing day-of-show production.

shows:
Split Personality: For two years, I hosted and produced this weekly storytelling and sketch character show at Over the Eight bar in Williamsburg. As a hybrid open mic/booked show, new voices and established talent got to share the same stage. Some of the performers who showed up in the open mic portion are now writing and performing on your favorite tv shows! We also featured incredible writers and performers from Saturday Night Live, Comedy Central, This American Life, late night television, and more.
Hyperbolic: I host and produce this humor reading and comedy series at the iconic Kramers bookstore in Washington DC, featuring local and visiting writers, authors, storytellers, and comedians.
Holding Court: A Tennis Comedy Show: I host and produce this tennis comedy show in NYC. The last show at Caveat featured writers and performers from late night TV, The New Yorker, and McSweeney’s and brought together tennis and comedy fans, including members from the USTA and local NYC tennis organizations.
Shoes Off, Mouth Off Storytelling Show: I co-host and co-curate this storytelling show with the lovely and amazing Angel Yau at Caveat in NYC. We showcase storytelling and live music from AAPIA performers.
Good Light comedy variety show: I hosted and produced this pandemic Zoom show which featured comedians, writers, and musicians performing from home.
